Back in Motion!!

So we don't officially have internet yet but I can get it at dial up speed through my phone. We hope to have it soon....on the good note. I'm now in place and back on perfect track!! I've been eating perfectly and working hard. I've been asked a few times abotu what those entail so here's what it looks like:

4 Day Split:
Day 1: Legs + 45min LIT (low intensity training) cardio
Day 2: Chest, Front Delts + 25min HIT (High Intensity Training)
Day 3: Back, Traps, Lats, Rear Delts + 45min LIT
Day 4: Arms (Bi's/Tri's), Abs + 45 min LIT

I am supposed to do at least those 4 back to back and repeat the sequence for as many more days as I feel able so maybe 6-8 days in a row then a rest. If I do 8 in a row I may rest for 2 on for 4 off for 1 then go back to 8 and repeat.

Eating:
I'm kinda ok with eating the same things but I try to mix up the flavors so here's my version:

A.m. = 1 whole egg + 5 whites, 2 slices ezekiel bread with Spray butter (I can't believe its not butter fake stuff but still good)

a.m. snack = protein shake, 14 almonds, 2 rice cakes OR 1 slice ezekiel bread

Lunch: Chicken and sweet potatoes OR brown rice (you can go for other lean meats like steak, tilapia, tuna, etc), green veggies, 14 almonds

pm snack (normally my post workout) = 2 scoops protein powder shake, complex carb (I mix it up between a 1/3 c oats, rice cakes, ezekiel bread )

dinner: pretty much same as lunch

before bed: protein...another shake or sometimes I'll do egg whites again

I'm supposed be drinking a gallon and a half of water a day which has been my only fail..I haven't been able to drink that much yet but getting there. Part of it is forgetfulness.

On another fun note, I just ordered my shoes and suit. I will leave you with pics of both as well as the flyer for the competition itself!!

Update

So to make a huge long story short, we left Maryland on Saturday, headed to somewhere in IN, my battery went out and we were delayed 3 hrs. The next day 100 miles out from Omaha (our destination) Ben got a screw in his tire which had to be patched. Omaha and family and friends were great. We left Wed a.m. and made it to Rock Springs, WY, got up this a.m. and finished the last 3 hrs to SLC and are now here. Sunday we will take off with my father in law and make the final trip to CA. Now fow my training. I can't say I'm happy with the trip challenges but it's about what I expected. I've averaged working out every other day. Hopefully for the next 3 I will be able to do so everyday. My diet had been at times great and at others not favorable. When I had no access to the diet I needed I tried to make due, and even then it was not fantastic. I'd say it's still far healthier than your average person but only about 50-60% as clean as it should be for my training. But I knew I'd run into this a bit. On the otherhand the workouts I have had a chance to do were great workouts so I guess I have my balance. Luckily, the place we're staying has a fridge and stove so I can maybe grab some eggs and veggies to get some things cooked up. Below are a few pictures from my last posing session and workout with A & G before I headed west. I included a few other cool non-competition related pics so share some fun we've had along the way. I should have access to this until Saturday night so will try and keep up with it.

Here are some from the posing session:

For the next 2 weeks

Since we are moving across country and driving, we won't have internet access but every few days when we get to a family members home. Bear with me as I'm slighly MIA  until we get to CA and then it's ON!! Also...Thursday is my last day training with A & G and we're gonna take more pictures. I'll hopefully be able to post them on Sunday when we're in Nebraska!

Day 5,6,7

So I don't have the best news to report on these days. I came down with bronchitis and was lethargic, still getting ready for our move and not eating enough due to a low appetite and the disgusting gag reflex of force feeding myself when I wasn't even hungry. Sunday luckily was for sure my rest day anyway, Monday (Day 6) was a bit less harsh than the weekend but we were also packing up the house to prep for the movers on Tuesday and thank gosh we did..I'll go into that later. But despite being drained and not having the time for cardio and weights, I raced to the gym just be fore closing and did all arms in supersets, enough weight, and small enough breaks that it became cardio as well and was actually a good workout. Today (Day 7) the movers came. Back to my awesome genius and OCD organtizational freakness...b/c they took FOREVER. Don't get me wrong they were nice guys, I bought them lunch and some snacks but someone scheduled them for one day instead of 2. We had already packed A LOT, and even when they got here I took apart our bed, the crib, the changing table, Ben got the treadmill, removed all curtain rods and a few other things and the still didnt leave until after 7. What was most frustrating was how many times I had to remind them they forgot something, and after going back, I'd remind them again b/c they wouldn't grab it all. One kept changing MY music on MY IPOD in MY home and helped himself to OUR hot sauce for the lunch WE bought him...I wasn't overly impressed. Needless to say after recovering from bronchitis, packing and moving stuff for 9 hrs then getting my daughter from the friend who was watching her, I was exhausted. So today unintentionally became another "off" day. Which is why I'm so pumped for tomorrow..legs day and some long distance running! Wish me luck back!

Day 3/4

Day 3- 1 mile last man up run 5 rounds of 5 burpies, 7 situps, 9 pushups 1 mile hard run, 5-50 m sprints

Day 4- lats, traps, lower back, rear delts, 45 min jog. Killed me unexpectedly..found out it's because I have baterial bronchitis. Yeah! Not. Will have to take it a bit easy for a few days to really recover but will stay on track with lower intensity stuff. Eating as has been great. Here is what G wants me reaching each day:

1.5 gal water
165g protein (body weight in protein grams/day)
100g carbs
30g fat

No sugar, no fruits, no bread except Ezekial, lots of unlimited green veggies. Proteins can be in powder/shake form, lean meats, no yogurt.

I have not yet hit all..averaging about 1 gallon, 125g protein, 80 carbs, 25 fat...and then have been too full to eat more. It comes out to about 1350 calories a day.
Here are some pictures of me and my little sis Lee working lats, traps, and delts today (Lee's in pink, I'm in purple)

Day 2

Legs!!! OMG my legs are getting more sore by the minute. We did some great leg work yesterday then a bunch of insane waddling and sprinting and lunges up a hill. Worked on posing a bit and have eaten on track. I'm actually down 5 pounds from this time last week. No sugar, clean diet and a few workouts. Really hasn't been all that tough yet. But I know that it will and you know what I say to that? BRING IT ON A & G. I want to hate you on occasion...in a good way of course for training me so hard I want to cry. You know I have never been able to get motivated to not eat sweets but then you realize how much of a waste they are, and how despite wanting creamy fattening alfredo or cinnamon sugar pretzels, your body just needs fuel and what better way to fuel it than with healthy stuff right? The only withdrawal that happens is the craving for sweets, or fatty or loaded with something you know can't be good for you. But if I eat a meal that's good and good for me, but may not be a mouth watering as other things, my body still know its got the fuel it needs. Your body doesn't need the sweets...your brain and cravings are doing that. You body needs GOOD fuel. On that note I will start posting pics of my meals (they aren't extravagant but still good) every so often, and will probably try to add a picture every week. When I get Ben in the gym with me, I will get some exercise shots so it'll create the optical illusion I look buff. :) And zen...in a few weeks I will actually just be able to stand there and look buff! off to eat again!

Day 1

Today we worked delts and what a great workout! Did posing afterwards and loved it! I actually put on the heels and am gonna need to do dishes in those things to get used to them. I am like a fish out of water for sure! But they do enhance them calves ;) Everything I ate was right on target..except I didn't eat enough. A skin condition I have that acted up unexpectedly landed me in the clinic by emergency, home with meds and resting so I missed some snack meals and lunch..just ate lunch as my early afternoon snack. But surprisingly I felt really good. Tomorrow we're working legs. I officially have before pics and a video. I'm going to create a youtube channel and add the videos there so I can see myself and all the goofiness.

Here are the videos on my youtube channel (nataliesfirstfigure): http://www.youtube.com/user/nataliesfirstfigure?feature=mhum

Here are the dreaded pictures. It was advised I stand in the worst light. I don't like that, but hopefully the results will make everyone forget about the before pictures.

Gotta love that dent-age....can't wait for it to fade away!
